Thanks to [Bar] for the tip.

This clip is from [PSAMP]

And we have to agree.
They don't make PSA's like they used to.

this is the theme video to my life: "the golden girls" and pens hockey. and here i thought i was alone all these years, but there's one very special director who gets it -- and most likely never worked another day in his life after this PSA -- because he could never top its brilliance. if he would only realize the impact he could have with a new installment, "rue and evgeni: play fairer."

[swooning as i type]

so I recognized bea and buries it, but who was the jobber at the end?

Jonny Van Mundegaarde said...

Tony Fernandez was a Toronto Blue Jay.

a bea arthur autograph is the only one i would want.

Sir,

Tony Fernandez was no jobber. In his day he was one of the slickest fielding middle infielders in the game and a 5-time All Star. More importantly, thanks in large part to his heroics, the Blue Jays were able to defeat Philadelphia in the 1993 World Series, thus ensuring that to this day we have a limitless supply of jokes about how that town has won pretty much nothing in most of our lifetimes.

And Philly; Arena Football championships don't count.

for sykoras first pp goal they had staal, gino, satan, and crosby on the ice with him. w/o gonch or whits, that doesnt seem like a bad idea. wonder if hcmt plans on using a 5 forward pp more often.

even as somewhat of a baseball fan back in the mid-80s when the Pirates were actually a team on the way up and were winning games, I thought I would have recognized that name. If he was such an all-star, where was his bronze foil sticker that belonged in the center of the album? ;)

(I keed, I keed. If you think I made this post to make a reference to foil baseball album stickers, you're probably right. But now I know who Tony Fernandez is, and knowing is half the battle.)

Thanks for the link, Staff.

Ace,

I live in NYC now, and about a month ago was contemplating buying a pogo ball online and showing up the skateboarders in Central Park or Union Square with some Extreme Pogo Ball.

Oh yeah, check Youtube for Extreme Pogo Ball. Its there.
