Well, the Malkin trade talk disappeared a few days ago when Malkin himself
came out and said he was gonna take a Crosby discount to stay with the Pens.
But as the draft has gotten closer, the talks sprouted back up.
The most popular link on the internet today is [ Puck Daddy's ] story
on a potential Malkin trade to the Los Angeles Kings.
The initial report came from Canada.
It all revolves around the obvious urgency that everyone knows Ray Shero has
to get at least one or two picks in the first three rounds of the draft.
And Los Angeles has been the flavor of the week.
But people don't stop and think about what's going on.
If the Kings are gonna ship Cammalleri, a prospect defenseman, and a pick,
they will get an established goaltender in return.
You don't stop your rebuilding process before you even make the playoffs.
Did anyone see what the Pens did this season?
They sucked for a long time, got good, made the playoffs, and then traded away some promising youth for a top-flight player that would take their team to another level.
That's how it's done.
But never mind the logic, because the prevailing thought is that a trade with Los Angeles is sexy.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
ROSSIGATE
Every facet of the Pittsburgh media is saying Hossa's agent isn't telling the truth.
[ Buzz on the Turd ] even said Rossi personally told him that Hossa's agent is a liar.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
And now back to Malkin.
Everyone knows the trade talk is garbage.
People get excited about it 'cause it would give them something to complain about if it happens.
Malkin's not going anywhere.
If he is traded this offseason, we will photoshop ourselves.
UPDATE
From [TSN]:
"You guys make up more stuff than I can ever imagine," Ottawa general manager Bryan Murray told reporters on Thursday. "I heard a rumour last night that Pittsburgh was moving one of their star players. I talked to their manager today to see if I could be included in the discussions and they kind of laughed at me."

If something happens with Malkin, I will photoshop myself photoshopping you as you photoshop yourselves.
Who gives a shit if we have a pick in the first three rounds? We will be fine.
seriously, fuck this draft. we have the right players now.
I'm not feeling a whole lot of crazy good vibes this year about the draft. And not just because the Penguins don't pick much.
Malkin is being traded to make room for Melichar.
I heard that from a friend of a friend who knows a guy who's former milkman was banging the wife of one of the executives at the Cedar Lee movie theater that used to go to school with a guy that used to buss tables at a restaurant that Mario went to once.
It has to be true.
bng
only thing good about the Cedar Lee movie theatre is Parnells is within spitting distance and you can cross the street and take your 11 year old cousin to Quinns
@bng - It's definitely true because milkmen in America = not a bygone era.
Sorry for the deleted comments--my typos sucked.
i dont think its crucial to get a pick in the top three rounds this year. if we got one for trading rights of someone we wouldve lost anyway, thatd be cool.
photoshopping yourself sounds painful.
BnG, is his name Julio? I know that guy!!!
I'm off for volunteer work at the animal rescue league. At orientation, they told us that any cats that don't have names can be named by us. I already named one Maxim, just gotta make it official now...
If Malkin gets traded, I'll move to Magnitogorsk.
I know I've said this before, but the draft is always a crapshoot. Some years you get complete wastes like Patrik Stefan drafted #1 overall while the reigning Conn Smythe Trophy winner goes at #210. It comes down to how good your scouting staff is to find that guy who lasts until deep in the draft and be a top-flight talent. Hell, the Pens got Ryan Malone (the best player of the post-Jagr, pre-Sid days) at #115 in that 1999 draft.
Just for kicks, here's how the 1999 entry draft went down. Outside of the Sedins, the entire first round was a bunch of never-weres, mediocre players, and Faberge Eggs.
if malkin is traded, i'll throw up and kick the dog, though hopefully not at once as that would be messy.
@nathan -im checking out all the drafts on wiki right now. i happen to be on 1999 and that is quite the first round crowd.
Draft? We don't need no stinking draft!
We're already set. Stacked. Money in the bank. Chips in the pot. Pucks in the net. The only things we need worry about are the price of gas and how many jumpingjacks we can do.
It's funny. Everyone seems to freak-out at the trade deadline about what their team isn't doing, and the same holds true for the draft.
Despite the weak attempt to prop up Stamkos, there doesn't seem to be a Crosby, Ovechkin or Malkin in this bunch.
There are likely good players to be had. But the teams are going to have to dig and so many of the can't-miss-prospects will end up spending their hockey like in the ECHL.
I can only hope that the Penguins don't relinquish anyone from their roster simply to get a draft pick in the first three rounds; It would be a terrible mistake.
1999 might end up going down as the worst draft ever. I mean, sometimes you can't predict that a player's going to be made of glass, but my God, Pavel "Have another donut" Brendl at #4 overall? Kris Beech at #7? Jani Rita at #13 (at least it wasn't the Pens who botched that pick -- they were too busy getting ready to draft Konstantin Koltsov at #18)?
The Rangers and Islanders had 5 of the first 10 picks in that draft. Of those five picks, only Tim Connolly (made of glass), Taylor Pyatt (career underachiever -- he's never scored 40 points in any season of his NHL career), and Branislav Mezei (who?) played in the NHL this year, and none of them with the team that drafted them.
too bad our 57th pick jeremy van hoof didnt pan out. i wouldve rocked that jersey.
completelyofftopicblog: something to watch to pass the time.
Thong Gone Wrong?http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/index.php?cl=8378223
Malone & Miller both went in the 99 draft. guess that year was good if your name is Ryan. of course there is also a Zetterberg. but its amazing to look back at these drafts now and realize how some people thought so and so year was going to produce so many great players and all they came up with were injury prone no ones. 99 will probably go down in the battle of crappiest with 96
i mean, if van hoof made a solid hit, steggy would be saying, those arent boos from the crowd, those are hoooooooves!
All this off-season stuff would make a good pilot for a TNT show, 'cause they know drama.
I'm waiting to hear the news that the Pens and the Kings are just going to make one giant trade. One team for the other.
There shouldn't even be a hockey team in LA
Previews for the 5:00 news = they're going to freak out about the Malkin story.
Maybe at the awards ceremony they screwed up Lidstrom with Colorado's 4th round draft Sanny Lindstrom? No? He does play defense and is from Sweden ...
I don't think it's a contest, 1999 vs. 1996. There's still a bunch of decent-to-good players around from the 1996 draft. The overall crop from 1996 seems to be more productive at the NHL level than the one from 1999. Marco Sturm and Danielle Briere went in the first round that year, and the #1 overall pick is still in the league.
Max, I think Los Angeles is too big a market not to have a hockey team, but they don't need two teams.
Jack Kent Cooke had the best comment about the Los Angeles area: he was informed that there were 300,000 Canadians (at the time) living in the area. His response, "Now I know why they left Canada. They hate hockey."
carroll-i saw that story yesterday i keep wondering about the physics of how she's putting on underwear and a piece flies off and hits her in the eye. but i don't want to think too much about this story since the woman who's complaining is 52, ewww!!!
nathan you may be right about 96, but i have to throw it in because of how weak it looked from day 1. i mean, no one expected much of anything out of it and truthfully except a few gems, its delivered. 99 looks crappy cause people thought so highly of it and have been totally disappointed for the most part. but i guess in the end, they're both crappy for different reasons.
We don't really need this draft... Even though this is a deep crop of guys. The Malkin talk surpasses the Malone talk for me, Malone is at least realistically not going to be here next year but Malkin?...c'mon!
Shero hops into the DeLorean and trades Malkin to the 1980 Soviet Team for the rights to the Berlin Wall and David Hasselhoff's jacket. As part of the deal Malkin must tell the Soviet coach to not pull Tretiak after the first period in the Medal Round game against the U.S.
Soviet Coach=JOKE
if malkin gets traded.. i will cut my dick off and put it on the internet
wait somebody already did that??

I think people just don't know what to do when their team stands pat. Every fan thinks they sound be doing something, even when, at time, doing nothing is best.
If we have no picks in the first three rounds I am cool with that. Maybe we find the next Zetterberg.
I am officailly not reading any more articles from certain outlets because I trust in Shero.

I am so thankful Pensblog doesn't have to sell X number of copies to make the monthly numbers and therefore don't need to jump into the bullshit pool that's spilling all over the media/internet. Only TPB makes sense anymore! WOOO!
speaking of delorean, i was reading the tPB's JOBBERS SAGA and see there is no chapter four?? i feel empty. i need closure. is it out there?
I heard from my brother's sister-in-law's uncle's grandmother's mechanic's first grade teacher's hamster's newpaper lining the hamster cage's editor's zygote, and it has to be true because people, especially the media, are ALWAYS right that the Penguins were absolutely, positively, definitely, Lanny Frattere NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, 1,000,000% for sure trading Malkin to the LA Kings for 12 bishops on a pinhead, 30 pieces of silver, all of the land in North America west of the Mississippi River, the Hale bop Comet, a bucket of mud and Brittney Spears and Gordon Bombay's great-great-great-great grandson. Oh, plus we're also getting the world's largest ball of twine.
Wait.... I don't have a brother.
Katie=Kevin Lowe
I heard from my sister's friend's roomates brother's aunt who lives in wisconsin, who heard from her neighbor's friends cousin's play cousin's nephew, who heard from his classmate's mom's uncle's college roomates' mechanic, who heard from his third cousin twice removed, who heard from her hairdresser's mailman's hairdresser that Malkin will be traded for: one LA King, 3/4 of a day old donut, an 8x10 glossy of Sean Avery, a thirty year old hockey puck found in the Canadian wilderness, a jelly roll, and 3, yes count em! 3 bubble gum balls. This is the absolute truth.
@ jefe penguino - look at 2007 posts...June and July had the Jobbers series. There were supposed to be a total of 8 posts...I'm still waiting for the ending :(
@ katie and snickerdoodles...lmao
Oh joy!
Joe Sucky & Ron Crap are on FSN, talking about how Gorzo & Snell are awful & hideous.
These two booger eaters would know all about awful & hideous, since they're great examples of it.
They also dogged on Hines Ward,I'm just waiting for some Malkin trade shit to come squirting out of this pair of assholes.
@karri -theres a jobbers saga link on the left under best of. only 3 chapters there.
i started looking through my hockey cards i saved from long ago. def a few in there that dont derserve the case they are in, or a case at all.

goodomenblog for all those panicing about Malkin trade rumers
today, a kid walks into my job (i work at a pool) to get a drink and he's wearing a Malkin t-shirt!!!
Now, some of you may say "So? Yeah, and?"
Well... I live in a small town on Long Island, New York, and I see other people rocking Pens gear about as often as Kris Beech does something positive for the Pens.
so yea, it was a pretty big deal
this is
quit coming over to others peoples sites and filling up their comments box with trash. I will stop once flyer hater does.
its gotta stop
@debrisslide: That's hilarious ... but is the actual Avery gonna be there? I thought they were signing some Swedish guy who is better at his job ...
I was wondering why the comments went up ...

Don't worry, Cbloggers, Kolb84 already made his way over to Faceoff Factor and ranted there a bit. He claims to be an adult poster being sincere, yet Dan Kolb is an obscure Pirates pitcher from about 5 years ago. Who's sincere now?
PB + FF = Domination.
This may be the first time I've liked Bryan Murray.
@ Jesse
Yeah I had noticed his comment on FF earlier. Thought it was pretty strange and now the infection is apparently spreading.
Backtotimeoutblog
gotta admit that is a good quote from murray
I'm pretty sure that, even if the Pens were going to ditch Malkin, they'd light him on fire before sending him to Ottawa.
Still can't blame Murray for not wanting to get in on that possible action, though. I actually feel kinda bad for him...trusting what he read in the newspapers and then looking like an idiot.
...
okay, that's over. Murray is a douche.
kolb, you've really picked a great cause to work for. I really admire activists who focus on important issues in society. You're such a trooper.
someone reads FF? when i commented i thought i was the only one
atleast this blog is funny. FF puts me to sleep
We talk hockey
"You guys make up more stuff than I can ever imagine," Ottawa general manager Bryan Murray told reporters on Thursday. "I heard a rumour last night that Pittsburgh was moving one of their star players. I talked to their manager today to see if I could be included in the discussions and they kind of laughed at me."
But, who wouldn't laugh at Byran Murray or the Ottawa Senators after their brilliant showing on and off the ice this postseason?
kolb84=Joosh's Boyfriend
The Buzz On The Turd minions are just upset that I point out what jokes they are after they post one of their rumors.
"Isn't this the site that said the Pens were locks to sign Paul Kariya and Scott Hannon last year?"
I post that in every c-blog of theirs.

We could probably have filled this list exclusively with hockey players.
Booyah.
You're right. No one reads our website. And we are so sad.
Go back to the Rumor mill and start something up about Whitney. I think you've pretty much touched every base but that one, right?
TIOPS = Fraud.
For anyone that doesn't know.
Our friend Kolb is the good friend, who so he says, of the buzz on the turd.
He has been jobbing everyone because he thinks it is okay to make rumors up.
Joke
Kolbhomo69, don't even try to get into a blog war with this site, hell don't even get in a war with your site vs. c-blog. You'll go down faster than Pensblog Charlie at a Senators practice.
I'm not telling anyone here to go over to buzzontheturd and point out what a bunch of disgraces they are in c-blog. I would never sanction that.
(But who am I to stop anyone here?)
@daismog: Murray probably wanted to believe it. They laughed because they thought he was drunk ... I wonder what Murray's lisp sounds like when he's drunk? *drifts off into JD dream phase* I'm going to hell for that ...
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
kaspar:
Even if the pens are interested in moving Malkin, I would expect Shero to laugh at Murray trying to get in on the deal.

Draftblog...
(Jesse can feel free to correct me on this...there isn't one person I trust more with dropping Draft Day/prospects knowledge than Jesse.)
Stamkos is going to be a good one, but I agree that he's no Crosby/Malkin/Ovechkin. He's probably a little closer on the Franchise Player Totem Pole to Spezza. The major difference is that Stamkos more than likely has balls and provides some degree of leadership and inspiration to his teammates.
Stamkos will do well in Tampa because with Vinny Lecavalier there, Stamkos doesn't have to be "THE MAN".
This, of course, begs the question...
How long will it be before we see the obligatory "Stamkos wants out of Tampa because he doesn't want to play rhythm guitar to Lacavalier's lead" article?
Better yet, are we closer to seeing an article like that written about Pat Kane and Jonathan Toews?
Or is crap like simply restricted to Sid and Geno because they're bigger right now?
FLYER HATER is the GARY ROBERTS of C-BLOG!
@daismog: Exactly ... "Dis isss Bryan Murray. I'm the General Manager of the Ottawa Sthenatorss. May I sspeak to Missster Ray SSShero? ... Yesss, I have heard the Evvvgeni Malkin might be traded ... *laughs erupt from background* Hello? ... *phone line dies* Hello? Alfie, they hung up ... sssorry, you can't play with Sssid, but Charlie'sss in the back room."
@Flyer Hater: How long have you been doing this? I checked a few of their other comment sections and it seems they were already familar with you ...
@karri -thanks!
i have a feeling im gonna have to catch up on a lot of posts tomorrow if i dont make it back here tonight.. see yinz later.
You know what immediately makes a day better? Ray Shero LAUGHING at Bryan Murray
Stoosh,
I think you'll see that Stamkos' attitude is that of a kid who wouldn't let that type of thing happen. And even if it did, you might see Vinny gone before Steven.
Stamkos might not be in the mold of a Crosby or Ovechkin (your Spezza comparison is apt, but add a bit more upside), but he is certainly a dynamic talent that has a solid head on his shoulders.
Cbloggers panic not, we'll be fine. This is the deepest draft in the last few years, and there are a lot of hidden gems in the late rounds, a lot of young kids that didn't catch hype that carries kids like Zach Bogosian from 76 ranking to 4 in a year.
IHK, when I found out that Buzz On The Turd was back. For about 2 weeks now, I've been on a black ops jobbing mission.
Jesse <3's Zach Harnden
I'm never worried about the Draft more like excited ... TSN had Jared Staal as 50th top prospect, but I'm wondering if a team will take him higher (even if he wasn't great at the Combine) because he's a Staal and he has been pretty good otherwise. I mean, he's almost as big as Jordan and he's my age, he's gonna be a big winger with a lot of power and he goes to the net.
@Flyer Hater: Ha, you finally broke them down that they came here to try and job us ... *laughs*
FH,
I certainly do. Haha. Thanks for reading the stuff, man.
@debrisslide,
the glossy photo does not have to sign a contract, but it does have to admit it's a douche every 4 hours. As for your second question, I bet ol' Seanny has a full lenght mirror for his umm..stick handling.
IHK,
I wouldn't spend a pick on Staal in the first two rounds. If his last name was Smith, he'd be listed around #115. He's in poor physical condition and he simply can't put it together consistently
He's got more offensive flair than the rest of them but he can't put it together consistently in all phases let alone one phase.
@ Jesse -
I think you'll see that Stamkos' attitude is that of a kid who wouldn't let that type of thing happen. And even if it did, you might see Vinny gone before Steven.
Oh, I know. I was just joking around and expressing a little bit of frustration at these media types who continue to insist that Sid and Malkin can't coexist. I don't the same things being written about other teams in similar situations as the Pens.
Stamkos might not be in the mold of a Crosby or Ovechkin (your Spezza comparison is apt, but add a bit more upside), but he is certainly a dynamic talent that has a solid head on his shoulders.
Exactly. And I think Stamkos's upside comes from some of those intangibles that I don't think Spezza ever had.
Let me put it this way...there's a reason Spezza played for four different teams in the OHL and only played 20 playoff games his entire OHL career, despite easily being the most gifted natural talent in the league at that time.
Spezza = excellent complimentary NHL player...unfortunately miscast as a franchise-caliber player. Just my opinion. I think Stamkos will be better.
Cbloggers panic not, we'll be fine. This is the deepest draft in the last few years, and there are a lot of hidden gems in the late rounds, a lot of young kids that didn't catch hype that carries kids like Zach Bogosian from 76 ranking to 4 in a year.
Thanks for doing the research on all this stuff...good Pens draft article.
I need to get in touch with the one guy about going forward with the Otter Tracking project.
Timefordinnerblog...
Be back later.
TPB+FF>Anything the internet has to offer.
Jesse, I watched all the vids you sent me on the kid. I loved what I saw. Kids like Zach Harnden who you draft in the 4th round (if they turn out) enables you to keep guys like Malkin, Hossa, and Fleury around.
@jesse: Yeah, I heard a lot of 3rd round talks for him or later in the draft ... and most of the time scouts and the team don't buy into the hype. I'm just looking out for him because of Jordan and I have to admit Eric is someone I like outside of the Pens. I also heard he's lazy and has a bad work ethic, but I'm not sure that's true.
In case any one ever wanted to know, Malone was drafted #115 ... (I may have known that by memorization ... *looks away and does not make eye contact*)
The dude who runs Buzz on The Turd just posted this,
"yea its getting out of hand. I'm going to make the site private again so all this b.s. will stop."
The general public can't read his garbage anymore.
Mission=Accomplished
The draft is always deceptive. It's impossible to tell how a guy will play within a few years, or even a few weeks. So drafting players is essentially a giant festival of educated guessing. It's weird that it's such a big deal sometimes--and I know it can be and there are some years when the guys picked first are instant superstars. But otherwise, it can get kind of ridiculous--and yet if we didn't talk about the draft and stats, we'd have to admit that professional sports in general are kind of ridiculous. I, however, would never say that. Owing to the hockey gods and all.
btw, I wouldn't let Sean Avery stickhandle around a mirror. Something about that just seems dangerous.
i just happened to look out my window and i see a rainbow.... my first thoughts were
ron burgundy: "look...the most glorious rainbow ever!"
veronica corningstone: "oh...do me on it!"
@snickerdoodle -- I like your trade, but I'd prefer the ball of twine to the glossy. Maybe our sources should get together and see what kind of deal can be had. I will check my sources at dinner tonight and see what is on the table tomorrow.
Who uses the word queer?

Charlie disaprovez ov yer submishinz.
The difference is this site doesn't PERPETUATE the rumors.
(Make them up and spread them, for you simpletons).
I can claim my right shoe as an inside source, too. But why do that when I can calmly discuss facts with other Penguins fans without making stuff up to drive traffic to my site.
No Dochomo, this site doesn't make up rumors. This site posts all the retarded rumors that blogs like buzzontheturd make up out of the clear blue sky and make fun of them.
I'msosadblog:
I've just been called a fucking retard.
"DocGayTeenHoliday" are you serious wow what a disappointement. What the fuck are you mexican or something speak English or co make a run for the fucking border.
We speak English in America. Welcome!
@ Doc18Holiday -
We also learn the basics of punctuation in America. Using your anti-Mexican post as Exhibit A, you were absent the day they taught basic punctuation and sentence structure in school.
There's nothing more hysterical than someone who attempts to insult the intelligence of another person, yet can't even utilize the most basic tools of sentence structure to pull it off.
Doc18Holiday = EPIC FAIL

You, my friend, are epically worthless. You should probably go ahead and quit life.

epically worthless, hey it's getting better. Come on now you wastes of life have to do better then that.
I mean you little preteen bastards are just to funny to read. It's ok you guys can go through puberty or border patrol.
And Doc18Holiday, given your impressive lack of command of simple grammar and basic punctuation, might I suggest you change your name to something else?
I'd suggest something more fitting for you...Ike18Clanton, perhaps.
After all, the real Doc Holliday was an educated man. Ike Clanton was a drunken, bumbling fool.
DocHomo, I'm like a day at the beach compared to Stoosh.
No the real Doc Holliday was a drunk and died from issues with his liver if you remember.
Stoosh is a toolshed like you flyerhater. You guys must still like to fuck each others mother. Better watch out West Virginia might get jealous.
"We speak English in America. Welcome!"
That's right, bitch! And America owns the rights to the internet, too! And ice hockey!
...Oh wait. :(
Oh darn where's all your comments, did you guys have to go to bed before the street lights come on. That's a damn shame. I was really enjoying your insight to Penguins hockey on here.
I can't wait until DocHomo comments tomorrow that he's suing TPB for making a photoshop of him.
Okay, how's this.
My Aunt Nancy just told me that Malkin to Vancouver is a definite. In turn, we're getting the rights to Naslund and Cloutier, as well as pack of smokes for Stoosh.
Now, when I'm wrong, don't try to hold me accountable.
It was just a rumor. What can it hurt?
It's ok you guys can go through puberty or border patrol.
Ahhhhh, yes...when all else fails, break out the Mexican/ethnic jokes. Nothing screams class and demands respect like ethnic jokes.
That, my friends, is the mark of a true intellectual luminary.
wow a photoshop of me, to honor me, your so thoughtful. Thanks Flyer lover. that's the greatest thing ever.
@doc18holiday: Your last comments make you sound like one of the biggest idiots that I have ever encountered. You are obviously a pathetic person who finds nothing better to do than look at rumors that are false and insult people's families over the internet. Nice brass ones, oh wait, I highly doubt you have any. You read that garbage over at that site and believe it while the within the next hour or so, it is disproven by another article that is posted. Yet you cling onto the shit he spews? The people over here definitely talk about rumors, but we know that over half of them are bull shit, like the comments you are posting. If you would kindly leave, so I don't have to scroll over your pathetic excuse of an argument, I would be quite happy. Good day.
But where would we be without ethnical jokes, I mean what flyer hater was doing on the other board was just unethical as well so what makes you think I'm going to even come close to being ethical on here.
Rumor has it I'm being traded to a better c-blog conversation.
doc holiday? really? yeesh.
That will show us DocHomo. Where is the internet by-law that says I have to be ehtical on your waste of internet bandwith? Are you going to take me to the Internet Disciplinary Board?
Haha yes, I've reached idiot status. No I can't leave that would be "unethical" of me to do so. Hey I wouldn't have posted on here but flyer hater insisted on doing what he did over at the other site, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to do the same thing over here and you haven't even heard some of the "shit I can spew out."
I want you to scroll over my pathetic comments. Enjoy reading!
Jesse, Dan Cloutier?
No I wouldn't do that I'll just annoy the hell out of everyone here. That's much more fun. I don't have to be ethical either.
reading some of these comments makes me want to go read BlueShirtBulletin... is this pens fans jobbing pens fans?? its like northern ireland vs. ireland, they may be different religeons but theyre still both irish... we might have different opinions but we are still pens fans... stop the pens fan on pens fan jobbing
coffeytalk? really? yeesh! who says yeesh. Some stupid rug muncher. Come on guys some the shit shit you are "spewing" out is just ridiculous. You guys can do better.
I love how the trolls come in here expecting the world to end with their "outlandish" statements.
oooh shock! oooh awe!
The Pens Blog & C-Blog is shakin' in our skates. Good gracious me-oh-my!
pathetic.
@oc18holiday: Flyer Hater is his own person, so we are liable for everything that Flyer Hater likes to job people about ... well, I guess, we are going to apologize to half the people in the world ... Let's see who should we start with? Melichar, Avery, Woods, the ottawa Senators, really I could go on ...
This conversation has no point ... let him do his little insults ... who's up for a new conversation? Trade Rumors? *laughs* JK ... umm ... how about the Draft?
kasparitis has no balls. But I'm willing to bet if I were face to face with you, I'd rip you apart.
DocHomo, you haven't been the first troll here and you won't be the last. Unlike the pussy blog that you support, this blog won't pack up its jobbing material and go home.
Actually, you'd be wrong again, Doc.
Gambling and drinking didn't become Doc Holliday's vices until AFTER he had been diagnosed with tuberculosis - more or less a death sentence in those days. For all intents and purposes, he left his practice as a licensed dentist and gave himself to his vices because he was going to die an early death anyway.
John "Doc" Holliday achieved a Doctorate at the Philadelphia College of Dental Surgery and ran his own dental office with a partner in Atlanta, Georgia. He was also well versed in classic literature and the Latin languages.
That's pretty much why I pointed out the irony of someone with your command of a language referencing the name of an educated person like Holliday.
Hell, you didn't even spell his last name correctly.
No I don't want the world to end, I just want to post ridiculous stuff on here. It's fun.
IHK, it's guilt by association.
WOOO
So yeah. Zach Harnden. Good kid. Will be available around #120. Ol' Thunder Bay, Ontario. Can't go wrong.
I heard we're trading Lemieux for Tiger Woods.
I don't have any balls, you're right, I'm a woman, sorry, I ruined you're little scare there!
Coffeytalk displays the awesomeness of Paul Coffey and the SNL skit ... that's win/win ...
@Flyer Hater: Thanks so much ...
hell, ihk. I don't even care for that snl skit that much. i just like puntastic handlesand well, paul coffey.
it's a reason why i heart yours so much!
coffeytalk
is that you in the BOB ERREY jersey? that jersey is sick!!
No shit I didn't spell his name correctly. You'd think I cared how to spell his name.
Flyer hater I by no means want you guys to pack it up, that would ruin all my fun. I want this site to keep going so that I can continue to annoy you people. Especially you and Dousche. (great word don't you think, I figured it was in you vocabulary.)
Everytime I hear Thunder Bay my mind wanders to something out of the Justice League.
p.o.-
no. that is my brother's roomate in the jersey. i am very mad at myself for not thinking of the idea first.
I'm just glad I got to make a few indirect references to Tombstone.
Randomawesomeness...
Check out the author.
stoosh-
i just exploded.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
Doc18- Take it easy, Champ. Why don't you sit this next one out, stop talking for a while.
@jesse: I have heard a lot of good things about him from you ... what's the deal with Nikita Filatov? I was thinking he'd be in the Top 3, but I have heard that he's basically Top 10 material, thoughts?
@coffeytalk: Thanks ... I've had this illness for a while ... hard to get rid of ... I heard it might be a problem in Russia ...
@Stoosh: That's Gold!! Solid find ...
stoosh, I believe the word you are looking for is your an "idiot." I think that's the popular word on here tonight.
IHK,
The lack of a transfer deal is killing the Russians like Kirill Petrov and Filatov. Filatov is good, but I have him at #11. Russians are too much of an engima for me. Garth Snow loves him, however, and I'd bet good $$ he ends up there, opening the door for another team to make a steal on Bogosian or Schenn after that.
doc - you are = you're not your
...so you're an idiot
@ Coffeytalk -
I pretty much fell in love with Tombstone when I was in college...it's got to be in my list of Top 10 Favorite Movies EVAHHHHH (Stephen A. Smith, for effect). And Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holliday makes the movie - one of the top movie badasses ever. So I became a bit of a fan of Doc Holliday the real person after seeing that movie.
HowCBlogAffectsYourLifeBlog...
I noticed the mention of the Roberts book when I glanced at Doc Holliday's Wikipedia page. The first thing I thought was that some random Pens/Pensblog fan jobbed Doc Holliday's Wikipedia page with a Gary Roberts reference. Figure it would be fitting for one badass write a book about another badass.
167th.
Sorry 169th.
Fuck this draft is right Bobby.
I enjoy Val Kilmer. He loses 100 points with me though for his try at Batman. Don't eff with The Bat.
vomitblog.
Until I see that it becomes a respectable site.
To paraphrase Herman Boone (Denzel Washington) from Remember the Titans,
"Well, I'm glad we have the approval of a five-year old."
Everybody who's not from this blog step back. All the haters need to know something about thepensbloggers.
We are black belts in e-fighting. Remember that.
@ stoosh - you're, impressing me tonight with your quotes
@jesse: Garth Snow scares me ... we had a discussion last night were it seems I probably could be a better GM, but my methods involved a bit of outside methods ... *laughs*
I like Bogosian ... he seems like a solid defenseman. He plays with his entire body and is physically aggressive, those are my types of players.
It's really cool that there are so many defensmen looking like the top prospects. I don't know, I have always been a defense kinda girl (exception Malone, but he is great defensively) ...
Val Kilmer in Top Gun = One of the Most Awesome People Ever! (ok, so he wasn't the greatest guy, but he was awesome ...)
I enjoy Val Kilmer. He loses 100 points with me though for his try at Batman. Don't eff with The Bat.
Kilmer also did a great Jim Morrison impression as well, but yeah, the Batman thing was a bad idea.
Actually, the last few movies of that series were bad ideas, save maybe Jim Carrey as The Riddler (Tommy Lee Jones was OK as Two-Face, but once it got to Arnold, Uma Thurman, Chris O'Donnell and Alicia Silverstone...like you said, vomitblog. Chris O'Donnell whined more than Bryan Murray and Tom Renney combined).
Thank God for the new Christian Bale adaptations of that series. I love that they're exploring the darker sides of these characters and making the villains truly frightening villains.
I can't wait to see The Dark Knight.
@Stoosh
Thank you for correcting Dick18Holiday. I was going to post a rant about how he died from tuberculosis, but you've done that. BTW Tombstone is in my top 10 as well. I have Wyatt Earp too, but I appreciate Klimer's Doc portrayal.
I'm not entirely sure where this d-bag came from, but I'm already tired of him. He reminds me of PaulinMiamiMen. Before you know it, this asshat will be spewing +/- stats.
damn, I miss the pens and hockey
I'm actually getting quite interested in watching the lightning play again
rumors have it lecavalier is going to sign a lifelong contract with 'em and they'll most likely select stamkos first overall, so that's gonna get quite interesting (marty is pretty nice tho)
just curious who will pick who in the draft
Val Kilmer with yummy Lis Shue = The Saint.
man, cblog sure has taken a southern dive in the past couple hours...
where's r*g*b* when you need her?
Pens pick @ 120???
Michal Jordan
Just Do It.
[Hossa: 11:1]
BRING BACK r*g*b
I'd rather have Garth Algar over Garth Snow,
Yea, that's right. Let that one roll around your mind for a minute.
Garth Snow in his Box Lacrosse gear = unbeatable.
sooska + HCDT = share 1 brain.
This is the year of the defenseman. Schenn, Bogosian, Pietrangelo, Robak, Doughty, etc.
A great class, for sure.
Bogosian is good, but he's behind Schenn for me. Schenn possess all the tools. I interviewed him this year and he is just a down to earth family kid. Bogosian's decision making is a step behind Schenns.
Shameless plug, our mock draft comes out tonight. Keep an eye out for it. We meant to go to 80, but because of a family emergency we only got to 30.
@ Karri -
Thanks! I'm one of those people who could probably go an entire day referencing or at least paraphrasing nothing but random movie or television quotes. My friends and I do stuff like that all time. I suppose we'd be either incredibly entertaining or incredibly annoying.
Oh Stoosh. Don't get me started on Chris O'Donnell as Robin.
ROBIN IS A CHILD. Chris O'Donnel was like 45 when he filmed Batman Forever.
I think Jim Carey could play The Riddler role better now than then. It was too Ace Venturaish for me. Tommy Lee Jones = Epic Fail as Two-Face. All he did was try to be Jack Nicholson. Joker and Two-Face, not the same at all. Too over the top.
I don't speak of Batman & Robin. That film NEVER happened.
Joke's not even clever. He's just annoying.
lol, that cloutier vs beach ball shot is awesome.
@Stoosh: Bale is becoming a Gary Roberts of acting ... I should move Paul Newman to Lemieux and make him Gary Roberts ... anywho, Bale in any movie is worth watching ...
@Dr. Turk: Either his hometown and birthplace are the same or he wasn't born but molded ... DO IT!
@jesse: I usually check your site out, so I'll do that ... the Draft and Germany winning made me happy today!
@ HCDT- we always have.
The little ones today are so disappointing. The creativity born of madness just isn't there. It's like the kindergarten kid down the street compared to Van Gogh or some lazy ass blog troll compared to Tolstoy or Vonnegut.
@ Dr. Turk -
The Saint = one of Nancy Stoosh's absolute favorites. Buro Houtenfaust = money
@IHK
Agreed. I put Bale right up there with Mark Whalberg. I will see anything that either of them are in.
Garth Algar = Beast.
Guys, I think Cloutier is actually with the Kings. He is the snag in the Malkin deal. LA does not want to part with him.
@ ihk -
Did you see the game today?
Wahlberg
Me = Joke
Turn..
