Malkin adds another point
Fantastic fight just now between Max Talbot and Max Lapierre. Lapierre was the prick who jobbed Sid a few times last year. Pretty even fight...Lapierre landed more punches, but Talbot got some really solid shots in.
lapierre ended up with a game misconduct also, Pens need to capitalize on that and put the game away

I'm not afraid to admit that your team scares the crap out of me. The Habs are the one team in don't the Pens to have to play in the post-season.
And I'm sure Crosby jobbed Lapierre in juniors. They talked about that last year. Crosby's got that edge to his game, as does Lapierre. Nothing wrong about that for either guy. It's Lapierre's job to be a prick on the ice.

my roommate (huge fan) had to go to carlisle for something tonight and is missing the game, last night i joked it would be the best game of the year and end 6-5 because he was missing it. all because he missed the 5-4 game against jersey 2/16/07 for his birthday dinner, which imo was the best game of the season. could be looking at a repeat, b/c this has been one of the most exciting games of the year

I'm starting to feel like it's 1992 all over again. I knew, knew, that the Penguins were going to win the Stanley Cup that year.
Is anyone else getting that feeling? This team is unstoppable. Maybe not this season but soon... soon, my friends, the Pittsburgh Penguins are going to end lives in the playoffs. They are going to devastate cities like natural disasters and dominate everything in sight.
We were here from the beginning, friends. We were witnesses. We saw it all.
When things looked their darkest, when things were bleak... we were there. We still believed.
When the Penguins won 23 games and were the worst team in the NHL, we were there. We didn't leave early, we stayed in our seats. We chanted, "Let's go Pens!" We wore the black and gold.
This team, these wins are our fucking birthright. We're supporters of the PITTSBURGH PENGUINS, god dammit! We've earned this... enjoy it!
We believe, as we always have and now other people are starting to believe. Those who don't are forced to believe when the Penguins go to their town and beat their teams.
This is it, the ascension to greatness. We were there once and we'll be there again.

I don't see us losing more than two games in a row in the playoffs. That's right, I'm saying it. Playoffs. My outlook on life is to always look for the positives in things. Injury after injury severely tested that, but when this team is fully healthy again? Forget about it.

most entertaining game of the season so far. you know Conks was stunned when Sabu got the start. lot of MT jobbing would be happenin if the Pens didnt pull this one out. this team is on some kind of tear right now, i think it's safe to say that the past 20 game stretch or so they've been playin better hockey than during the big point streak last year.

Sorry I missed your earlier post about Greentree....you got the lowdown though.
I might add:
1) Watch the PA cops - they're on a ticket writing campaign the rest of this Month
2) From the Turnpike, get off the 1st exit in PA - Rt 60 South towards the airport instead of going onto Wexford. Rt 60 becomes the Parkway West (past the airport) right through Greentree...that's the most direct route for Greentree from Cleveland.
The Philly game must have really shown the goonery of the Flyers...check the play-by-play with the number of Philly penalties.
The Flyers also had two simultaneous game misconducts, but I can't find out exactly what caused them.

Great game. Had the Pens lost, i would have been pissed, but, at the same time, happy that i watched such a fantastic game. but it wouldnt have been a good consolation, that's for sure.
and i have to quote my brother: "I dont think Geno heard the Canadien's fans taunting him. He had too many points in his ears."

Malkin is just unreal and Malone has been money lately as well. That was his second tape-to-tape pass to spring the player coming from the box on a breakaway in the last few games. If I'm not mistaken he sprung Ruutu loose for his goal against Buffalo. Anyways awesome game and awesome night. Extended points lead for Geno, Philthy out of the top 8, things getting tighter at the top of the conference, and 600 for Gonch. Awesome. I love how electric the crowd is at Montreal games. Just unreal.

I took it with a grain of salt myself..... THEN I drove up I-79 a couple times this week and it was abnormally crawling with State Troopers.

- I'd love to get to the games this weekend, but work won't allow me.
- I should have mentioned that part of that Rt 60 South will be a toll road (I think the total toll will be $1.00). You're about 40-45 minutes from Greentree when you exit the Turnpike.
- Now that we know you're coming to town again and how you bring the Pens good luck, I feel much better about these games!
