PENS

Paul Coffey is going into the Penguins Hall of Fame. [ PG ]

If you preach defense in your life, Paul Coffey would be your god.
He only played four seasons for the Pens, but looking at his numbers, it is hard to even comprehend:

It is only fitting we mention Coffey.
Because among the topics in a spirited commentorblog has been the powerplay.
The Pens have scored a powerplay goal in every game this season.
(12-12)
The NHL record:
Bet your ball sack.
1988-89 Penguins wih 14 straight.
Who anchored that powerplay?

Paul Coffey.

........................................

Another huge topic going on is goal production. [PG ]
It will come.
Still way to much gloom and doom.
The Pens are 6-5-1.
They are here for the next 30 years.

Thats better than having sex in a pile of Stove Top Stuffing.

The Sens cemented another piece of their future.
Spezza = 7 years, $49 mill. [ Senators.NHL.com ]

As you can imagine.
Sens fans are pumped.

"Loose" Lauren Tubbs belts a song in celebration..

Ben Stevens and Marty McCoy take time to pose from a really gay picture.

Do it.

Speaking of homos.

Montreal has not forgotten how Daniel Briere snubbed them in the offseason. [ Fanhouse ]

[phx.png]
Big news from NHL offices.
Rick Tocchet will be reinstated in February. [ Fanhouse ]
We will get the answer to Game 7 from the horse's mouth.

During the offseason, a heated debate transpired in Commentoblor.
Who actually scored the tying goal in the 1993 Game 7 against the Islanders?

We thought for a long time that it was Ron Francis.
After a couple claims from Loser Chris and EN Seth that Tocchet scored the goal,
we went to the videotape.
And we were dead wrong. It was Tocchet's goal.

We broke it down frame by frame, sorta. [ Tocchet Post ]

With Whitney hurt, Pens Nation started wondering about the blue line.
Nolan Pratt's name came up, who could've been claimed off waivers.
Not anymore. Sabres got him. [ Fanhouse ]

To further that up, the Sharks snatched up Sandis Ozolinsh. [ TSN ]

Al Arbour will be getting behind the bench for one game to coach his 1,500th career game.
That game is tonight.

Al Arbour was the Islanders coach in the 1993 Game 7.

.............................................

And finally, a look at what Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Jokus does to the Mellon.

We're not PETAblog, but the animals in the circus are the most depressed creatures on Earth.

Should be a good game on Long Island.

We are cutting back on the Ten Nolan indian jokes.

Go Pens

That audio is awesome. It is a privilege to hear Mike Lange use the English language to paint a picture.

Mike Lange sits are the right hand of lord Mario.

With me being stuck in Jersey, any chances of watching the game other than SOP cast or paying 4 bucks a beer at center ice bar?

I only have a few more pennies to save for a slingbox and then it's ON ALL SEASON LONG.

LONG LIVE THE PENSBLOG!

watching that mtl/phi game made me think...

isn't it obvious that the track record that montreal/their fans have about turning on players is a big underlying reason why briere decided to go elsewhere? the over reactive booing that took place only seemed to complement the Montreal mindset. that being said, i hate the canadiens (except for kovalev...his wristshot goal in that game was intense i can't wait to see kovalev go 2 games without scoring a point so the hab faithful can turn on him once more)

go pens. f the circus show isles.

I'm thinking anything would be better than having sex in Stove Top stuffing. Sick.

What about calling up Letang for a few games? He's averaged about a point per game with WBS, and he might actually score a goal.

I might be late on this but the NHL Network is awesome. I'm not sure how long its been available, but I just realized we had it a couple of days ago and I haven't stopped watching since. Its channel 276 for Comcast folks. They have a great sportscenter-like show w/ comprehensive highlights from around the league, they show classic games, and they even have live games here and there. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Hey guys...I got the wristbands yesterday, and I've already noticed a 120% improvement in my productivity at work. I'm in Rochester, NY, and theres 3 of us here who are from Pittsburgh. It's amazing how die-hard Pittsburgh fans can be, and how bandwagonning Buffalo fans can be. Thanks again guys, LOVE THE BLOG.

I thought PensblogAdam was kidding when he siad he was at the circus. apparently not....

I like sex and stove top stuffing, so i would think that the combination might actually be heavenly.

Eff Al Arbour and that gay promotion. The Isles, ted nolan and al arbour are a joke for this sole
reason. A real coach would have told him to shove it, but then again, the Indians didnt do much about the white man 400 years ago. i guess he's used to it.

When the Sharks sign Ozo, was there an incentive clause for a bottle to be named later if he scored x points?

awesome audio.

I've actually recorded all of Mike Lange's broadcasts last season, and I'm doing it again this season, with the same idea- get all of Lange's greatest moments. Because who knows how long he'll be doing radio. Personally I'm still very upset that he was knocked off his tv gig.

Stokes, I heard Al Arbour gave Ted Nolan a smallpox invested blanket

I'd love to see the Pens welcome Al Arbour back with a 7-2 drumming. They only picked that promotion for the Pens game so that actually have people in the seats.

It's still hard to comprehend that we had Paul Coffey. He moved up the ice like Gumby used to skate acoss the screen...quick, smooth, effortless.

I hope those circus tickets were free. Did you ride an elephant or anything?

Just giving props to the jobbers that run this blog. I sent money in for the wrist bands and I didn't get in the first batch. With one email they were hand delivered to my door. Class act. Keep on jobbing and if you ever want to party after a pens victory, you know where to come.
