Been A Long Time Comin'

We went on one of the longest hiatuses in Pensblog history.
And unbelievably, Mark Recchi got worse during that time span.

But now writers from the Pittsburgh area are echoing the sentiments that have been seen on here and especially in Commentorblog.

All that's left is for coach Therrien to see what's going on.

Therrien says he's sticking with Recchi. [ PG ]
And says Pensblog can lick his Dell's balls.

We've been handing out Jobber of the Week Awards like it's our...job.

But if there has ever been an entity worthy of the award, it's the Toronto Maple Leafs organization.
This isn't in retaliation to them making Mellon Arena their personal litter box on Thursday.

But rather it has to do with them trying to circumvent NHL by-laws. [ TSN ]

John Tavares is the next big thing coming out of Canada.
He's 17, and will turn 18 next September 20th -- five days too late to be eligible for the 2008 draft.

But the Maple Leafs are interested in getting him signed to their AHL team.
AHL and NHL do not let anyone under the age of 18 play in either league.

Although nothing will probably come out of this,
Tavares and his agent have contacted the NHL to see if they can get him into next year's draft.

If the NHL gives him leeway to sneak into the draft,
every player who is on the September 20th bubble will demand the same privilege.

And pretty soon, you'd be able to enter the draft when you're 8.
Mats Sundin would love having 8-year-old boys around.

"Yes, excuse me. How exactly are you going to get Gary Roberts to sign anything once you've just wet your pants in front of him?"

And I'm not specifying with what.

Good luck being more subtle than all the hot chicks in the line in front of you...

Holy fucking yinzer sheeyat! That's Kenny Melvin? I saw that kid, like, a year ago on some lame ass You Tube video about "Dem Stillers."

It all makes sense now.

Someone should tell kenny melvin that the two "undeclared" wars he is refering to were given authorization from the vast majority of congress (that would Rs and Ds my friends). That seems pretty constitutional to me. But, if you want to hold someone responsible, hold the whole the entire us government not just one man.

But anyway, kenny is far older than I expected. He has to be mid 20s at least! What a loser. This guy really has some problems. I really expected a 12 year old kid.

How did kenny get his hands on the real us constitution ;)?

2.5 million for recchi, huh? looks like shero isnt quite divine. seriously though, i mean yeah you look at his stats from last year and he scored 70 points or so but plug in any piece of shit with decent hands on our #1 pp unit and he'll get you that. just saying. FUCK RECCHI

Ok, who's Kenny Melvin. Any back story to this? Funny how all the comments left by thepensblog on that youtube page matched VERBATIM with every thought that went through my head while I was watching it. Also, Terry Frei seems to have forgotten that no one in MLB actually LIKES the All-Star/home field advantage thing(except of course for the team who goes to the world series that happens to play for the league that won the all star game, haha). GO PENS!!! EFF MONTREAL!!!!!!!

Please, please watch Kenny's Mr. Roboto movie. I think it wrap up his existence in less than 30 seconds.

Angelo said...

for an even better laugh, you guys MUST do this...

When viewing Melvin's political garble video, look in the upper-right corner where it says Kenneth Melvin as his user name. CLICK IT.

In his youtube profile is another video, it is of him singing mr. roboto. Pathetic...put your damn shirt on.

GO PENS

Barrasso35 said...

Anon, search the blog... there are way too many things about Melvin to put here.

Barrasso35 said...

Yeah, thanks Troy & angelo... I was going to ask how any missed the Mr. Roboto video.

Man, I had the link to Kenny's Steelers video in an e-mail but it's been removed from You Tube. I just remember he said, "Here we go, fucking Steelers, bitch! Good day. I said good day!"

What a douche.

first, the lyrics are domo arigato mr. roboto. the japanese thank you very much not to fuck that song up.

second, my ovaries exploded when i saw melvin shirtless. that should be illegal. on a related note, it appears he just added that video as it is stamped "added 1 hour ago" right now. otherwise, i have to believe that TPB wouldn't have let that one go quietly.

third, i haven't laughed as hard as i did when i was reading TPB comment bombs on km's video in such a long time! i literally laughed until i cried. paybacks are a bitch, melvin! :)

and finally, barrasso35, i may be late on this but, that's a COOL FUCKING AVATAR!

snoopyjode said...

oh, wait! yeah, i remember when i last laughed like that...

i find that two particular photoshops are especially entertaining today. ;)

And to think I took heat for saying Shero shouldn't have re-signed Recchi in the offseason. There's a reason why the first thing I did when I popped in my new copy of NHL 08 was trade Recchi.

Maybe Shero though Recchi was resigning, not re-signing?

Somewhere Dennis DeYoung is holding his ears and screaming, "NNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!".

Wow...

And, rwarner174, 'bout them wars...
The war in Iraq was sold to both Congress & the general public with false informtation. That stuff comes from the top. Go
here
to see about that. Or read John Dean's book, "Worse than Watergate: The Secret Presidency of George W. Bush". Just used them both in a project for school.

Back to a more relevant topic: Melvin is a dweeb.

rwarner174 said...

Spencemo,

Then shouldn't those congressmen be held accountable? It is their job to get educated on the issue before casting a vote? I personally wouldn't vote for a senator or house member who just throws their vote around without thinking of the ramifications especially giving the president power to declare war! That is their job. So either they are stupid or they are lazy or they believed in the cause, either way if I were you I would no part of them (Can you say Hilary).

I personally think that congress did the right thing. But if you are going to blame someone, blame them all because without the congress this war just doesn't happen. You let people off who have the same idolology as you off too easy.

I'm sure you most likely voted for a senator or house member who gave the president authority to declare war. If that is the case you may want to blame yourself as well.

Most people who critisize the iraq war are like people who call for Flurey's head after a 5-2 toronto loss. They are all for it when things are going bad, but when he is playing poorly its like, I told you so, he stinks.

End rant.

Sounds like the only thing we agree on is the the pens rule and that kenny melvin is a douche bag. Which should be enough for this blog.
