In order to gain a fair assessment, we will be keeping gameclock time during the Auburn-Florida game Saturday night on ESPN.
With a 25-second playclock, and with the gameclock stopping on first downs,
actual gameplay may surpass the NFL's 13:08.
And it will be one of the last mentions of football on here for the rest of 2007.

Heroes is a big deal.
In this promo pic, they remind you in quick fashion that there's boobs in the show, too.
All we need now is Penguin season to start.
And life will be worth living again.
On a side note.
"Journeyman" premiered after Heroe,s and it wasn't as bad as it looks.
Almost a cross between Quantum Leap and a bad Hallmark movie.
The dude who is the star looks like a cross between Gary Roberts and Mark Eaton.
Of course if it was Gary Roberts or Mark Eaton, the show's plot would concist them going back in time and having sex with your woman while ordering from the 5 for $5 menu at Arby's.

What about Wayne? Wayne Gretzky didn't expect to waltz in and lead his ragtag Phoenix Coyotes to the Stanley Cup, but he sure didn't expect things to go as badly as they have the first two seasons in Phoenix. Entering his third season as an NHL bench boss, Gretzky has a blend of raw talent and castoffs from other teams and almost nothing in the way of goaltending. Perhaps Gretzky will embrace this new build-from-the-ground-up philosophy and be around for years. It's hard to imagine, though.

New NHL rules...[ TSN ]
- Penalty shots can now be awarded from center-ice onward, as opposed to the blue line.
- The interference rule can result in a major penalty and game misconduct if it results in an injury.
- Faceoffs will no longer take place at the spot where the puck leaves the ice. All faceoffs will take place at a faceoff dot.

Ok, how many people had a sleepless night..tossing and turning...their mind frequently wandering to Sid's groin?
Er uh...not that I did mind you. Not at all. Burp Fart Beer Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Maybe it's just me but why were all those penalties in the NYI/NYR game served by someone else? Is that just a pre-season thing because I've never seen that before unless someone was ejected.
Got a couple spots left in my Yahoo fantasy hockey league if anyone is interested...
* League ID#: 27685
* Password: keepurheadup
The staff here are playing so this could be your big chance to stick it to them!
thanks for the well-wishes, jonny v! several of my uncles and my brother-in-law are servicemen, so i am 1,000,000% (<- i don't think that's mathematically possible but whatev) with you that those guys are underpaid.
loser chris, you know I'M going to pwn in the fantasy hockey, so why even pretend it's not going to happen? ;)
and i immediately thought the same thing, barrasso35... anyone know what happened?
You guys are so wrapped up in Heroes that you forgot the big season premiere of House is tonight.
snoop spends every night thinking about Sid's groin. If you catch my drift...
I don't catch it.
and The Office is the best show on TV right now. My TV doesnt even get touched until thursday nights.
barrasso, without going over the scoresheet in depth here's what probably happened. Some guys got multiple penalties at the same time, say a major and a minor, so someone had to serve the minor so that they could come out of the box when it was up.
CRAP!!! i seriously considered making a joke like that about myself because i KNEW you would do it (sooner or later), but i didn't make the joke because i thought doing that would result in EVERYONE making fun of me. so basically i am damned if i do, and damned if i don't.
DAMN YOU, LOSER CHRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh c'mon, you knew it would be sooner.
Fantasy league is now full. Thanks to those who joined in.
I think there's more to that served by thing.
Every penalty is served by the same two guys. what was going on?
How does colton orr have a fighting major at both 3:08 and 3:11 of the first?
Then Orr and Pock get fighting Majors when no one from the islanders does. how's that possible? Isn't it just an unsportsmanlike if no one fights back, a-la ruutu v avery at the end of last season?
then 8:11 in the second takes place and all hell really breaks loose.
Unbeknownst to us all, Rick DiPietro must have 6 fingers on his blocker hand.
'Allo! My name is Alvaro Montoya! You killed my father..prepare to die!
indigo montoya, nUb
hey guys, i would like to encourage you to visit my sports blog at http://www.thesportsidiots.com
thank you!
Alvaro Montoya is the goalie for the Rangers. Nice try though anon.
