Enemy at the Boards

Before we get into anything:

*** BREAKING NEWS OUT OF OTTAWA THIS EVENING ***

Bryan Murray's wife has been held up on the coast of Nova Scotia and will be unable to attend Saturday's game.

...............................

Huge game tomorrow.
If you don't know what were talking about, hang yourself.
Maybe the most important game of our lives.
We start with:

Lord Therrien is pissed off at King Georges

Reporter: "As physical as it was, would you have liked to see Laraque be more of a physical presence - or a presence - in that game?"

Therrien: "No doubt."

: "Why wasn't he?"

: "Ask him."

Ouch.
Harsh tone.
Don't worry, though. BGL got some important fan mail to cheer him up.

.........................................

Speaking of mail, lots of news and notes to deliver...

Malkin is trying to get adjusted to the NHL Playoffs....

Malkin will score tomorrow.

Fleury is right back into the fire....

had to bring this back for good luck
MAF deserves to be in there.
Expect a huge effort.

Sens are going at the Penguins D...

Nice little feature on Gary Roberts on NHL.COM

After this was posted, Roberts released the writer's family.

And finally some junk mail

................................

Not a whole lot of games in the Playoffs tonight.
The Preds got even with the Sharks.

Series 1-1

Dallas jobbed the Canucks.

Shutout city

and
the Ducks go up 2-0 on the Wild.

Banks scores 2 goals, Conway 1A

One other note around the league:
DP is back practing for the Isles.

For Isles fans, this is like Apollo 13 landing safe.

Do it

...............................................

There is only one thing that the world wants more than a Pens victory on Saturday:

Bob Backlund putting Alanis Morissette in the cross-faced chickenwing.
Go Pens

Top-notch post again. Hahahaha.....& I forgot about Ed Harris in Apollo 13, Derek. ;-)

Hopefully all of the nonsense that went on does light a fire under Laraque & Malkin. Anticipating tomorrow.....I mean later today.

...a beached whale....lol.

This post is the absolute tops. Way to bring the cross-faced chickenwing into this (such a feared hold).

At least it's not someone who looks like a whale...I know, i know...search every night...taken off 5 years...lol

I like Therrien's interview - better than last years..."...they suff...never seen a bunch of defensemen suff like this..."

One small nitpick guys. Bryan Murray isn't married. We all know he plays for the pink team.

Comeon now, same thing happened on wednesday as the whole season - laraque getting totally jewed with ice time... Now Terrien needs him the most and he expects him to not play three shifts a whole game and come off the bench and start truckin? I know he's black but comeon he's not superman.

and by whole season I mean since the trading deadline, shutup

Alanis' version of "My Humps" on youtube was the reason Bob Backlund has a Cross-Face fetish for her. I know it.
The last thing I did at work this morning was assist with a circumcision...I hope we bring more pain than that baby was in

JK he was numbed up...but yeah, pain. Good.

Holla

Thanks guys for another awesome post to keep me psyched for this afternoon! Been sick the whole time at work...ahhhhhhh!

Go Pens!

Btw...Tiff...your song post last night was missed unfortunately by most of the bloggers that visit here...I've been singin' your chorus since I saw it on break early this mornin'...

"It's not the end of the world
As we know it
(It's time we won the Stanley Cup)
So, we’ll be fine...we’ll be fine"

And forgot to tell you I love this line too...

"The other night I dreamt I died,
Heatley took me for a ride" - hahahahahahahahaha - Good one!

Hey, guys--great blog as usual! Just thought I'd post this vid I found on Youtube. Ottawa's Tom Preissing and Buffalo's Brian Campbell share a moment while the rest of their teammates fight...

Maybe it's old news, but it's the first time I've seen the vid and it made my day. :-D

i guess thats what happens whenever you play in canada and no other candian team is in the playoffs...

hopefully the calls will go our way tomorrow night...

crosby and malkin need to step it up for the third period and show the world why they are superstars..

fleury cant give up.. he is playing a good game... 2 tough goals.. he needs to play like its overtime

John Cangelosi said...

...um what about Vancouver and Calgary? Last I saw they were in Canada.

I will paraphrase the explicit comment that I made earlier....Referees= Pathetic

And I don't care what anyone says, the referees in Canadian cities are terrible...

Penguins 4-0 without Laraque in the lineup since Feb 28. I say bench him, 4th line is garbage with Laraque. Numbers don't lie.

Un.Freaking.Believable. Game.

I think my heart stopped about 27 times. MAF is back!

can't blame Laraque for that game. he played like 5 mins. makes it kind of hard for him when the entire game is PP or PK. and he was ready to go with Neil, but Murray yanked him last second. they are using Laraque totally wrong, he should be on the 2nd PP in front of the net and on a regular line iwht sid or malkin, whichever one doesn't have roberts. toss a scoring winger on the other side of that line, let Laraque stand directly in front of the net, and you can't see around him or move him. also, it would stop Neil and co from running malkin every 5 seconds. that's what i envisioned all along when they did trade for Laraque. he has plent of offensive ability for a big guy, is physical as hell, and would stop the cheap hits. on the 4th line, he can't do any of that.
