Huge news coming out of Philly tonight.
Peter Forsberg is going to Nashville
The Flyers get winger Scottie Upshall, defenceman Ryan Parent, and Rufio from hook.
If you didn't tear up when Rufio dies in Hook, you shouldn't even be here.

Oops we are trying to stay away from homophoic stuff, after the Tim Hardway thing.
We aren't sure why everyone is all worked up about it. Its not like we don't read about gay people every day in the Post Gazette.

This is my first post to thepensblog. I had to break my silence after seeing the biggest piece of trash ever encoded in HTML, it's called "Empty Netters".
So, we the pensblog nation email the crap out of the Post Gazette over Billy Bob's awful editorial, and instead of responding, they rip off our equivelence to online Mecca? WTF!
I'd let Mark Eaton rip off my blog, but I wouldn't let a jobber establishment like the post gazette!
We are still patiently awaiting an e-mail reply.
Maybe we've been blacklisted by the Pittsburgh media.
If so, that is awesome.

Doesn't anyone here think maybe you should all stop complaining about the PG's blog? I mean, everyone is always crying about how the Pittsburgh media doesn't care about the Penguins. You guys admit that you have modeled your blog after other people's blogs. You guys didn't invent blogging and it IS possible for other people to type some jokes and put them up on a website. If people enjoy the PG's blog and it gets them interested in the Pens then just shut up about it. Your blog is great, but it doesn't have to be the only successful one in the city.

2nite's game will go a long way in telling just how much the Pens have grown since the streak started. We're playing a team that plays playoff hockey almost exclusivly after the half way point of the season. oh ya, and they happen to have the best goalie in the world.

I'm not putting down the PB. I think this blog is awesome. I just also think that although the PG's blog might be a little lame, that we should give it a chance. Some people like lame. If it gets people interested in and excited about the Pens, then I'm all for it. At a time like this, its best for the team to garner all the interest and support it can to show the city officials that the team means a lot to a significant portion of this city's population.

Eric... seriously, I just had a massive bloody steak and a newcastle, and I lit up my camel light thinking things couldn't get any better... then I read "And Jarkko's killin' retards" and you somehow made it better. And in a landmark move by the US Military, they're showing not one, but two Pens games this weekend on AFN. Thats the absolute best thing ever. Apparently being in a closely related career field to the AFN people does give you some sway when you complain.
I was all psyched to watch the game tonight on comcast.net, but it is 'blacked out'. I live in Philly, so I guess it is because of our proximity to NJ...? Stupid Comcast. Oh and please don't kill me because I'm in Philly- I'm a transplant. =)
