...Law & Order Verdict: 54% say don't acquire Markus Naslund. 46% said yes.
Nearly 200 votes. Thanks everyone. Seriously. Thank You...

...No word on John LeClair being picked up by anyone yet. There are rumors that Chicago and Dallas may grab him up. They have until 12:00 noon on Monday...

...If you didn't catch Ovechkin's hit on Buffalo's Daniel Briere, here you are...

...Big news out of Edmonton as Ryan Smyth is out indefinitely with a fractured thumb...

...Don't look now, but Malkin's 24 points put him 35th in the NHL....

...Nobody is giving Crosby his correct three assists from Saturday night...

...Pensblog's 1991 and 1992 Penguins playoff goals are so close to being online that we can taste it.
It all depends on Google Video not shutting it down, even though their NHL video page says fans can make their own highlight tapes and submit them.
If these tapes don't constitute as highlight tapes, we don't know what would...

ATLANTIC DIVISION

The New York Islanders...yes, THOSE New York Islanders...are atop the Atlantic Division on this Sunday night in early December. They beat the Rangers tonight, 7-4.
Has Ted Nolan really made that big of a difference this season?
What I do know is that they were money on Saturday night.

The Rangers and Devils are one point behind them with 30 points each.

Penguins have 26 points...but are 1-3-1 in their last five games against the Atlantic.
IN EXCELLENT SHAPE considering what they looked like last year.

The Flyers are sneaking up with 20 points.

Ted Nolan's not the reason for the Islanders' turn around. The reason is obviously Garth Snow!

Jeez, don't you guys know anything?

I root against the Isles just because I'd love to see them sign Rick D. for 15 years and have him end up sucking.

I went to the game Saturday night, but also recorded the game. I didn't remember Crosby being on the ice at the time of Christensen's goal. So I went back and watched the tape and Crosby was not on the ice. It was Recchi, Whitney, Ekman, Thorburn and Christensen. The play was recorded correctly. Sid will make it up tho!

I was not in attendance on Saturday night, but I was on TV a couple times during stag's half hour show before the game.

But I digress... I have already mentioned this, but it is worth repeating with yet another solid win on Tuesday and then 2 losses over the weekend.

The Pens are 8-1-3 on mon-thurs and they are 3-9-1 on fri-sun. If you look, you will notice that this trend is including last season (although I don't know the exact numbers). Anyone have any reasonable explanation of why this in true or even why it doesn't matter?
