Pensblog Gameday

Pens-Isles Tonight
7:00 - FSN

Some good news...Islander center Alexei Yashin is out 2-4 weeks with a sprained right knee...

...Anyone stay up to watch the Kings beat the Devils in a shootout last night?

...In that Versus broadcast, they showed the status of the all-star voting. Crosby and Malkin are starters, and Fleury is leading all Eastern Conference goalies in votes...

...Anaheim's Chris Pronger returns to Edmonton. This is as big a T.O. situation that the NHL will get...

...Pensblog buddy Heather e-mailed this to us: a New York Times article covering the Pens. Good read...

...We have another media figure waiting in the wings to do a Q&A session.
Let the speculation run wild...

One hint: It's not the reporter from Judge Wapner's People's Court

Bohm bohm-bohm

Go Pens

maybe people are starting to realize that if fleury had a respectable defence in front of him, he'd be in the upper eschelon of goalies in this league. hes practically there already playing behind our swiss cheese defence

First off, kudos to HJ Stoosh (Stoosh's sister) for forwarding that NY Times article and getting mentioned in the Pensblog.

Second, I'll kick off speculation about the new media figure joining the Pensblog for a Q&A. At a quick first glance, he may resemble that Judge Wapner court reporter. My guess is that his first name begins with a "John S" and his last name ends with "-teigerwald".

My guess...

Downtown Robbie Brown...

What's that? You said "media figure" not "drunk at the corner of the bar in the Gibsonia Legion?" Nevermind then.

So far, the commenters are 0 for 4 in their guesses...

although, trenni is a nice option we didn't think of yet.

shes ugly after a loss, hot after a win.

Not only is Crosby leading, but he is up by over 100,000 votes on malkin in second. The penguins are the new bandwaggon to be jumping on around the league, which is certainly a good thing.

I'll take one more shot at it...
