Holy Crap It's Tonight

Here's some news and links to entertain and astonish.

...PittsburghPenguins.com has a new look today. Thompson of Thompson's Water Sealer apparently is a webmaster now...

...Danny Briere scored the sweetest goal of opening night last night...

...Here's an article discussing the financial complications with moving the Penguins to Waterloo...

...In case you haven't noticed, TSN has your hockey news before anyone else. Here's an article about Jim Balsillie buying the Pens. In the article, he states, "'Pittsburgh has shown itself to be an outstanding hockey market, and the team has an incredible tradition of success and fan support. With young stars such as Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, we all know the Penguins have a very bright future on the ice. I look forward to owning this team for a long time in Pittsburgh.''
Our take? If Lemieux knew this guy's intentions were to move the team, he wouldn't let the deal happen on the biggest day of the Pens season. All of this crap is too much. Drop the puck.

...Brooks Orpik has been placed on injured reserve...no comment...

...People going to Mellon Arena tonight are being asked to be in their seats at 7:25 for a special pre-game ceremony. It's not the player intros, and it might be something about Lemieux. But is it dangerous to dream that the ceremony will have Lemieux, Balsillie, and others agreeing to a deal and announcing the Pens are staying?...

...The NHL debuted some good commercials last night. It got us to thinking of our favorite commercials. Here's one that we found:

And, finally...remember...

Remember the commercial with Jagr, I think for the old Fox telecasts that had him at a telethon. Good stuff.
