This news article talks about Mario Lemieux declining the Penguins' offers to give him an elaborate number-retirement ceremony this year. Classy guy. However, the Pens will unveil a banner that will be hanging from the Mellon Arena rafters on opening night.
With Jagr assuredly retiring as a Ranger, all we have left is Kip Miller. When the Pens retire Kip Miller's #37, we can only hope he acts the same way Mario did.

"Kippy knows how I go about my number-retirement ceremony."
